Alberto Mazzoni

Alberto Mazzoni focused his activity in the fields of litigation and international arbitration. His clients included large groups of companies as well as medium and small companies, both Italian and international.
 
He was Visiting Foreign Lawyer at Cohen-Meyohas in Paris in 1969-70 and at White & Case New York in 1972-1973. He has been Full Professor of Commercial Law at the Catholic University of Milan and Professor Emeritus of Commercial Law at the same University.

He has also been Adjunct Professor of International Trade Law at the Catholic University of Milan and Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Macau (China).

He has been expert specially appointed by the Government to represent the Republic of Italy at several UNCITRAL Working Groups on transnational insolvency and e-commerce. He was co-director of the law review “Diritto commerciale interno ed internazionale” published by Giappichelli as well as author and editorial board member of several other law reviews.

Former member of the Arbitration Council (Consiglio Arbitrale) of the Milan Chamber of Commerce, he served as President at the Italian Stock Exchange Panel (Collegio dei Probiviri di Borsa Italiana).

He was the President of the Governing Council of the Institute for the Unification of Private Law  (UNIDROIT). He was fonding partner at Mazzoni Regoli Law Firm.

He held a magna cum laude degree in Law from the University of Pisa and a master of comparative law (MCL) at the Chicago Law School University.He speaks Italian, English, French, Swedish and German.
